Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he expects Roki Sasaki to be on the Wild Card roster.

Sasaki will rejoin the Dodgers for the first time since suffering a shoulder injury in May. He will take the place of Kirby Yates, who was placed on the IL with a hamstring injury.

Sasaki, who has been on the injured list since May 13 with a right shoulder impingement, is expected to return on Wednesday and work out of the bullpen. In seven minor league rehab outings this season, including five starts, he posted a 6.10 ERA and 1.60 WHIP.

After making a rehab appearance on Thursday, Roki Sasaki is set to have one more outing with Triple-A Oklahoma City before the Los Angeles Dodgers consider activating him from the injured list.

Sasaki made his first rehab appearance out of the bullpen on Thursday, throwing a scoreless inning with two strikeouts and a walk on 16 pitches. If he makes the postseason roster, he will likely be used out of the bullpen.
