2B - TEX
Rougned Odor is expected to avoid a stint on the injured list despite the fact he's missed four-straight games with an oblique issue.
The Rangers are confident Odor can avoid missing significant time and could be ready to play soon. The second base man is off to a brutal start at the dish this year with a .125/.250/.292 batting line and one home run. He can be left on the waiver wire when he makes his return.
Rougned Odor's oblique tightness has not improved and the Rangers are thinking about moving him to the IL.
Odor was pulled from Sunday's game with oblique tightness and while it didn't seem serious at first, the team is thinking about placing him on the IL. Odor is slashing .125/.250/.292 with one home run and two RBI's over 24 at-bats this season.
After Saturday's fourth inning against the Giants, Rougned Odor left the game with tightness in his oblique.
Odor will finish the game with a forgettable 0-for-2 game. He's averaging just .125 this year with nine strikeouts in 24 at-bats.
Rougned Odor went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and three strikeouts in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.
Odor batted in the lone RBI on a 7th inning solo shot off Merrill Kelly, but his 2019 season is plagued with the same strikeout issues that haunted him in 2019. Odor had 178 strikeouts last year, tied for fourth most in the league. In 15 at-bats this season he has already struck out five times. Odor should hold a lock on the three-spot all season and will get on base and score runs, but in leagues that penalize for strikeouts it will come at a cost.
Rougned Odor went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a walk in Friday's 1-0 win over the Rockies.
Friday's contest was dominated by good pitching from both teams, but Odor was able to secure the Rangers win with a sixth inning RBI double. Odor's batting average has always made him a tough fantasy player to own, but his power and speed make him a high-ceiling option for 2B.
