Tellez entered a 9-2 game in the top of the ninth inning Sunday. He got his only at-bat of the contest in the bottom of the final frame and belted a two-run shot off Milwaukee reliever Chad Patrick. It was Tellez's first round-tripper of the season, and the veteran slugger is now 1-for-5 overall since the Braves called him up.

Rowdy Tellez called up to Atlanta Braves

Rowdy Tellez was called up to the big-league club by the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Tellez signed a minor-league deal with the Braves this offseason and will now get his first crack at the big leagues this season. In 175 at-bats in Triple-A, the 31-year-old is slashing .259/.367/.483 with eight homers and 33 RBI. He will look to provide some offensive firepower while Ronald Acuna Jr. is sidelined.
