Ryan Sherriff struck out one in a perfect ninth inning, earning the save in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Mariners.
The Rays continue to rotate relievers for save opportunities and Sherriff received a chance on Wednesday. The 31-year-old lefty hasn't allowed an earned run in six consecutive appearances and has a 4.82 ERA and 1.50 WHIP this season.

Sherriff needed just nine pitches to slam the door. Nick Anderson took care of the 2-3-4 hitters in the eighth inning, which left the ninth for Sherriff. He isn't worth adding, though, as Tampa Bay is always mixing and matching in the ninth inning.

Sherriff's right toe fracture appears to be healed. The left-hander will need to be able to pitch in back-to-back games before being able to return to the Cardinals bullpen.
