Gaviglio struggled against the solid competition that is Boston. Hopefully, he wasn't started by owners given the matchup. He's been useful in spurts this fantasy season but has sputtered down the stretch. He now has an ERA and WHIP of 5.25 and 1.44 on the season.
Sam Gaviglio gave up five runs in just 4 1/3 innings on Thursday against the Indians. He allowed six hits, two runs, walked none and struckout four.
Gaviglio is 3-8 on the season with an ERA of 5.25 and a 1.42 WHIP. He has no fantasy value at this time.
Sam Gaviglio allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings on Monday against the Orioles. He struck out two and took the loss, falling to 3-7.
Gaviglio actually pitched quite well for most of the game, but just couldn't make it out of a rough sixth inning. He allowed a three-run home run to Trey Mancini to mess up what was otherwise looking like a decent line. If you picked him up for his two-start week, you still have this weekend's start against the Marlins to hopefully fall back on.
