Spencer Schwellenbach (elbow) to have another surgery

Spencer Schwellenbach will undergo a second surgery on his right elbow.

Fantasy Impact

Schwellenbach last pitched for the Braves in June of 2025. A fracture in his pitching elbow cost him the second half of that season. Schwellenbach had hoped to return at some point in 2026 after having surgery to remove bone spurs from the elbow back in February. However, his rehab process has been a bit of a rollercoaster, and he will require another procedure that will hold him out until at least next spring.
