Andy Martino of the SNY Network is reporting that the Mets have signed free agent RHP Taijuan Walker to a two-year, $20 million contract Friday.
Walker reportedly drew interest from the Mets earlier in the week and both parties ended up agreeing on a two-year deal. The deal also includes a player option for 2023. Walker was effective in a shortened 2020 campaign, owning a 2.70 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and a 50:19 K:BB across 53 1/3 innings for the Blue Jays/Mariners.
