Taylor Ward went 4-for-5 with two RBI, one run scored, and three doubles in the Orioles win over the White Sox Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Ward moved out of the leadoff spot for the first time this season and still provided plenty of production from the second spot in the lineup. The 32-year-old is hitting .383 with eight RBI and five runs scored this season. Ward has a hit in four straight games and has an extra base hit in each game of his current hitting streak.
Taylor Ward went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in the Orioles’ 8-2 loss to the Pirates.
Fantasy Impact
Ward has successfully reached base in seven straight games and has three multi-hit games in his last five games. He appears to be firmly cemented as the leadoff hitter, which could impact his RBI totals, but his ability to get on base is a major plus for fantasy managers.
Taylor Ward went 4-for-5 with a double, two RBI, and one run scored in the Orioles’ 8-5 loss to the Rangers.
Fantasy Impact
Ward drove in his first two runs as an Oriole on a double in the ninth inning to make the score look a bit closer than the game actually was. The power has not been there for Ward to open the season, but the 32-year-old has 20+ home runs in three of the last four seasons and this could be the game that gets the bat going in the right direction.
Taylor Ward and the Baltimore Orioles have agreed on a $12.17 million deal to avoid arbitration.
Fantasy Impact
Ward is primed for his first season in Baltimore after being traded from the Angels for Grayson Rodriguez. Ward, alongside Pete Alonso, will look to bring a spark back into the Orioles lineup.
Taylor Ward has been dealt to the Orioles in exchange for right-handed starting pitcher Grayson Rodriguez.
Fantasy Impact
The Orioles needed some pop in their outfield, and they've acquired it. Ward, an Angel since making his MLB debut back in 2018, is coming off a career-best season that saw him smash 36 home runs with 103 RBI. It's a bit surprising that the Orioles were willing to move former top-pitching prospect Grayson Rodriguez, even though he did miss all of 2025 due to injury. Rodriguez won 13 games with a 3.86 ERA during a modest breakout season in 2024, and the Angels are obviously hoping he can reassert himself in 2026.
