Fantasy Impact
The 35-year-old Guerrero has 113 games of major league experience but has not pitched in a big league game since 2019. He has posted a 5.77 ERA in 106 innings with a slightly above average strikeout rate (22.5%) but a subpar walk rate (13.6%). The well-traveled veteran has spent 13 seasons in the minors and two other years in Japan. He'll provide organizational depth in the bullpen.
Miami Marlins relief pitcher Tayron Guerrero worked a perfect inning on Monday, striking out two.
Fantasy Impact
Guerrero threw the fastest pitch of the season on Monday as well, showing as 102 mph on the gun and just surpassing Cardinals rookie Jordan Hicks' pitch from Opening Day. Guerrero has a bloated ERA (4.40) from a pair of bad outings, but his advanced stats show a guy who could be a relief ace with just a tiny bit more control.
