TJ Shook has contract selected by Rockies
TJ Shook has been called up by the Colorado Rockies from Triple-A Albuquerque and will replace Zach Agnos on the active roster. Lefty Welinton Herrera was transferred to the 60-day IL to open a spot on the 40-man roster.
Fantasy Impact
Shook, who turned 28 three days ago, will make his major league debut when he gets into his first game. The Rockies added Shook from the Mets in the Rule 5 Draft last winter and, after tossing 4.1 scoreless innings during the spring, has pitched to a 2.89 ERA with a 29:8 K:BB ratio in 28.1 innings in Albuquerque. Shook will provide bullpen depth in Colorado and could stick around for a while if he pitches well.
