Travis Demeritte went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run on Wednesday against the Red Sox.
Demeritte has seen way more playing time than expected this season, but he's done well with it, slashing .271/.321/.500. He'll continue to bat down in the order, which should limit his runs and RBI chances, so he's much more of a DFS or NL-only league play at the moment. With a 32.1% strikeout rate, it's unlikely that he'll be more than that in 2022.
Travis Demeritte continues to stay hot at the plate, hitting his second home run in four games and posting back-to-back multi-hit games.
Demeritte looks to have the inside track at Eddie Rosario spots in the outfield. Even with Ronald Acuña Jr. back, the left-field spot is completely up for grabs. With the way Demeritte is swinging the bat, it is hard to see Orlando Arcia and Guillermo Heredia taking playing time from him.
Travis Demeritte was recalled by the Tigers on Tuesday.
Demeritte was recalled to take the spot of recently traded Cameron Maybin. He will occasionally fill in as the the team’s fourth outfielder. Demeritte is hitting .214 with three RBI across 14 at-bats in 2020.
