Trey Sweeney has rejoined the Tigers.

Sweeney will be recalled to take Matt Vierling's (oblique) place on the Tigers roster. Sweeney was demoted to Triple-A in late July, but he played 85 games for the Tigers, mostly as the starting shortstop, prior to that. The 25-year-old rookie has posted a .208/.275/.303 slash line with five homers, 27 RBI, and three steals at the big-league level this season.
