Tyler Cloyd allowed seven runs on eight hits and three walks in just three innings of relief on Monday against the Cubs.

Cloyd saw his ERA jump to 15.95, which should negatively impact his chances at this year's Cy Young Award. Recording fewer outs than base runners allowed generally isn't a solid pitching strategy. Cloyd was left out to dry by manager Don Mattingly in a blowout loss, and he'll likely make his way back down to Triple-A New Orleans before long.

Indians announced that Tyler Cloyd was released on Tuesday. Cloyd wished for the release in order to pursue an opportunity in Korea. No KBO (Korean Baseball Organization) team has announced a signing of Cloyd at this point.

Fantasy Impact

Cloyd, 27, spent the entire 2014 season on the Indians AAA team, the Columbus Clippers. His fantasy value is now nonexistent as he will likely spend 2015 in Korea.
