Tyler Wilson earns win in first start of the year

Tyler Wilson earned the win Thursday night against the Red Sox, pitching six innings of three run ball while striking out one.

Fantasy Impact

It was nice to see Wilson post a quality start, but the lack of strikeouts make him irrelevant in fantasy leagues moving forward.

Tyler Wilson roughed up Saturday

Tyler Wilson had an outing to forget on Saturday. He gave up eight runs in three innings of work, striking out just two. Wilson earned the loss as the Mariners went on to beat Baltimore 12-6.

Fantasy Impact

The wheels have started to come off for Wilson as he's allowed 16 runs over his past three starts. He will carry a 4-6 record with a 5.22 ERA and 43 strikeouts into his next start against the Angels.

Tyler Wilson struggles; bailed out by offense

Tyler Wilson struggled against the Rays on Sunday. He allowed five runs in five innings of work while striking out one. Baltimore went on to beat Tampa Bay 12-5.

Fantasy Impact

The right-hander gave up two home runs but ended up earning the win as the O's outslugged the Rays in this one. Wilson is not a very attractive fantasy option as he carries a 4-5 record, 4.50 ERA, and 41 strikeouts into his next start.

Tyler Wilson posts quality start

Tyler Wilson was solid in his start on Tuesday. He went six innings, allowing three runs and striking out four. The Orioles went on to lose to San Diego by a score of 10-7.

Fantasy Impact

Wilson didn't earn a decision and his record remains 3-5. He has a 4.19 ERA and 40 strikeouts on the season. He is worth streaming in favorable matchups going forward. His next start comes against a strikeout-prone Tampa Bay offense.

Tyler Wilson dominates Red Sox Thursday

Tyler Wilson was excellent against the Red Sox on Thursday, holding them scoreless over eight innings of work. He struck out six and allowed just three hits. The Orioles went on to win 5-1.

Fantasy Impact

Wilson was coming off a terrible start against the Blue Jays, so of course he held Boston scoreless last night. The Red Sox have been one of the top teams in the league against right-handed pitching. Wilson is too inconsistent to trust in fantasy on an every start basis, but he will take on the Padres in his next start and is an excellent streaming option for that date.
