Willie Calhoun (forearm) will miss an extended period of time after undergoing surgery on his left ulna on Tuesday.
There is currently no timetable for Calhoun's return. However, he is surely to miss an extended period of time, and fantasy managers should look elsewhere for production for the time being.
The Rangers have placed outfielder Willie Calhoun on the 10-day injured list with a fracture of the ulna bone in his left forearm. The injury occurred on Saturday night when Calhoun was hit by a pitch.
The bad luck continues for Calhoun, who has had four IL stints over the past three seasons. He had been hitting .254/.323/.385 with 19 RBI, 19 walks, and 27 strikeouts this season. To fill Calhoun's roster spot, Texas recalled outfielder Jason Martin.
