Rivera will get some starts at second base with Gennett out, along with Colin Walsh and Hernan Perez. Rivera is not worth fantasy consideration except in deep NL-only leagues.

Yadiel Rivera to make Brewers opening day roster

The 23-year-old Rivera has been informed that he and fellow infielder Colin Walsh have made the Brewers opening day roster.

Fantasy Impact

Rivera was drafted by the Brewers in 2010 and has worked his way up through the Brewers farm system. He played 23 games with the Brewers in 2015 going 1-for-14 in his big league debut. Rivera will be used as a backup infielder to start the season and does not warrant fantasy consideration except in the deepest of NL-only leagues.
