Arizona Diamondbacks SP Zach Davies pitched 3 2/3 innings on Monday, striking out two, walking two, and allowing eight hits for four earned runs in the Diamondbacks' 9-5 win over the Royals.
Davies was horrendous on Monday as he was pulled before he could even make it through the fourth inning having already thrown 84 pitches. The Diamondbacks starting pitcher didn't lack control of the zone as 51 of his 84 pitches were for strikes, it was more of an issue of hard hit contact as three of the four hits he gave up were all home runs and they all came in the first inning. For now he should not be on any roster no matter the league depth.
Arizona Diamondbacks SP Zach Davies pitched four innings on Wednesday, striking out two, and allowing seven hits for five earned runs in the Diamondbacks' 5-3 loss to the Dodgers.
Davies saw a bit of bad luck on Wednesday as he allowed no walks but gave up five runs on seven hits alone. The Diamondbacks starting pitcher has a ERA of 4.35 and a record of 2-2 but is worth nothing more at the moment than a roster spot in replacement of a manager dealing with injuries to their starting pitchers.
Arizona Diamondbacks SP Zach Davies pitched 5 2/3 innings on Friday, striking out six, walking two, and allowing four hits for three earned runs in the Diamondbacks' 4-3 win over the Cubs.
Davies managed to pick up his second win of the season despite allowing thee runs through less than six innings pitched Friday. The starting pitcher has an ERA of 3.57 and is only worth a slim consideration in fantasy for managers in an NL only league that also happens to be a deeper 12 man league at the least.
Arizona Diamondbacks SP Zach Davies pitched 6 1/3 innings on Saturday, striking out six, walking two, and allowing three hits for zero earned runs in the Diamondbacks' 4-1 loss to the Rockies.
Davies was brilliant on Saturday nearly going for seven innings and striking out six on 104 pitches. Unfortunately for the Diamondbacks starting pitcher there was no help from his bullpen as he was unable to secure his second win of the year. The 29 year old now boasts an ERA of 3.34 and a WHIP of 1.21.
Zach Davies allowed two runs, both unearned, on three hits and one walk while striking out two in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Cardinals.
Davies was chased after throwing 90 pitches in five innings, but he was a bit unlucky with neither of the two runs he allowed being earned. The right-hander has yet to go farther than five innings in a start this season, and this volume can leave him on fantasy waivers.
