Anderson Pilar signs with Braves

Anderson Pilar has agreed to a minor-league deal with the Braves.

Pilar was in spring training with the Braves as a Rule 5 pick earlier this year. The club decided not to keep him then, returning him to the Marlins in late-March. Pilar has spent this entire year at the Triple-A level, posting a 4.26 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 50-13 K/BB across 44 1/3 innings. The 27-year-old righty has also recorded four saves this season. Pilar has yet to debut in the majors, but the disappointing Braves could take the opportunity to see what he's got down the stretch.
