CJ Abrams to miss remainder of 2021 season with tibia and MCL injuries
CJ Abrams suffered a fractured left tibia as well as a sprained left MCL. He's been out since June 30 and was officially diagnosed with the injuries on Sunday.
Abrams, the Padres No. 2 prospect, has had a very solid year in Double-A, hitting .296 while playing both shortstop and second base at an elite level. He'll hope for a speedy recovery and will likely return in time for Spring Training next season.
