Tigers left-hander Framber Valdez pitched six innings and allowed just one earned run in a no-decision in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Orioles.

Valdez allowed just two hits and two walks to go along with five strikeouts, notching his seventh quality start of the season in 11 outings. Unfortunately, Valdez was stripped of his third win of the season after Kenley Jansen allowed a three-run, walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth. Valdez has allowed two earned runs or fewer in six of his last eight starts and will carry a 4.28 ERA into his next scheduled outing on Saturday in Chicago against the White Sox.
