Griffin Jax allowed seven runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out six over five innings in the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Boston Red Sox, taking the loss in a 10-0 defeat.

Jax turned in his worst outing of the season, allowing a season-high seven earned runs. The lone bright spot was that he still recorded six strikeouts, helping soften the fantasy impact of the rough start. He now owns a 4.08 ERA and 1.27 WHIP across 75 innings this season and is scheduled to make his next start on Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
