Jackson Chourio expected to see time in center field in 2025

Brewers manager Pat Murphy stated Tuesday that Jackson Chourio will get opportunities in center field this season, per Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Chourio was primarily a center fielder in the minors, but the Brewers kept him in the corner outfield spots in 2024 due to concerns about his ability to track fly balls. Despite that, he posted a plus-7 Outs Above Average in right field and a minus-1 OAA in left field. Murphy didn’t specify how often Chourio will play center, but if he proves capable, it would add more flexibility to the Brewers’ lineup construction.
