Free agent outfielder Lane Thomas has signed a contract with the Kansas City Royals.
Fantasy Impact
Financial terms of the deal has yet to be publicly reported, but Thomas will remain in the American League Central after being dealt to the Cleveland Guardians at the 2024 trade deadline. The 30-year-old struggled mightily in limited action in 2025, hitting just .163 with four homers in 39 games. He underwent foot surgery in late September that came with a three-to-four-month recovery timeline.
