Lucas Duda agrees to deal with Atlanta Braves
Free agent first baseman Lucas Duda has agreed to a deal with the Atlanta Braves and will report to Triple-A Gwinnett, according to a report from MLB insider Jon Heyman on Twitter.
Duda was released by the Royals last week and cleared through waivers without being claimed before ultimately signing with the Braves on Monday. In 105 at-bats this season, Duda batted .171 with four home runs. He will look to figure things out down in the minor leagues in hopes of being called up to fill a reserve role with the Braves in the coming weeks, but he is unlikely to be relevant in any fantasy formats.
