Fantasy managers seem to have declared Canha's 2019 season as a fluke after he hit just five home run last year, but much of his 2020 seems to suggest 2019 was fairly legitimate. Canha built on his massive gains in walk rate in 2019 (13.5%) and increased it to 15.2%, and his quality of contact largely remained the same. He's got 20-homer power still, and he'll likely lead off or bat second for the A's. You won't need to pay much for him and given his average draft position, there's a high probability of a profit.

Mark Canha a candidate to lead off in Oakland this season?
A's outfielder Mark Canha is batting leadoff for today's spring training game against the Angels, and Jessica Kleinschmidt of NBC Sports Bay Area reports that Oakland manager Bob Melvin approached Canha this offseason about taking over that role with the departure of Marcus Semien.
Elvis Andrus and Ramon Laureano are also reportedly candidates to lead off, and it's possible that the role is rotated between multiple players in 2021. But any role in the top half of the order is good news for Canha fantasy managers. Canha won't steal many bases, but he did hit 26 home runs and get on base at a .396 clip in 2019.
