The Marlins announced Thursday that Max Meyer would undergo Tommy John surgery to repair a tear in his right UCL.
Fantasy Impact
The 23-year-old prospect was ranked No. 20 on the MLB Pipeline rankings, but the Marlins (and fantasy managers) have now lost him for the rest of this season and, most likely, the entire 2023 season. He is droppable in all redraft leagues, but those in dynasty need to decide what to do based on the number of IL/NA spots available and how much they believe he will return to his previous self after the long recovery from major surgery.
