Nick Davila has contract selected by Mariners

Nick Davila is being called up by the Seattle Mariners from Double-A Arkansas. A corresponding move on the 26-man roster has not been announced, but the Mariners do have an opening on their 40-man for Davila.

Davila has been with the Mariners' organization since 2023 after he signed a minor league deal following his release from Detroit. The 27-year-old is making the leap from Double-A to Seattle after eight strong relief appearances with Arkansas to start the 2026 season. In nine innings, Davila has a 2.00 ERA with a pair of saves with an impressive walk rate (2.9%), strikeout rate (29.4%), and ground ball rate (69.6%). He would be making his major league debut whenever he gets into a game with the Mariners.
