Fantasy Impact
Fortes started and hit ninth in Game 1 on Tuesday and went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before being lifted for a pinch hitter. Both he and fellow backstop Jacob Stallings struggled mightily at the plate in 2023 with Fortes hitting just .204 with six homers, four steals, and a .562 OPS across 108 games.
