Ray Kerr (elbow) begins season on 60-day IL
Kerr was placed on the 60-day injured list by Triple-A Gwinnett on March 18. Though he managed to make a one-inning appearance in the Grapefruit League on Feb. 24, he has not pitched in a game since that outing. The move to the 60-day IL ensures he will miss at least the first two months of the minor-league season.
Fantasy Impact
The left-hander is currently in the final stages of a lengthy recovery following Tommy John surgery performed in the summer of 2024. While he initially appeared ready for game action in late February, recent reports indicate he still requires additional rehabilitation before he is cleared to return to the Gwinnett pitching staff. There is no firm date for when he will resume his throwing program in a competitive setting.
