Elfrid Payton will be a free agent

The Suns renounced their rights to Elfrid Payton making him a free agent beginning in July. The Suns also did the same with C Alex Len as the team is slashing cap and leaving no reason to make the qualifying offer to Payton. (NBC Sports)
Fantasy Impact:
The Suns drafted Ellie Okobo to replace Payton and Tyler Ulis at the point guard position so his fantasy value will only go up from here. Okobo will pair up alongside Devin Booker next season.
