Kemba Walker cleared to resume basketball activities

Kemba Walker has been cleared by his doctors to resume all basketball activities. While there is no set date yet for Walker to come back, the young point guard hopes to make his return sometime next week during Charlotte's three-game homestand. Walker has been out since January 24th after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Walker's return shifts things around a bit for the Hornets. It would seem that newly acquired Mo Williams will return to the bench to lead the second unit, leaving Walker and Gerald Henderson to start in the backcourt. Williams has been playing well since he arrived in Charlotte and Steve Clifford would be wise to still play him around 25 minutes per game. But with Walker coming back he will demand plenty of shots, limiting some of the potential of Charlotte's other guys. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has been a terror lately, averaging 12.0 points and 11.2 rebounds per game over his last five, but he should expect to see fewer minutes and touches once Walker returns.
