Kemba Walker scores six points in his return
by Andrew Chambers | Thu, Mar 12th 3:24am EDT
Kemba Walker scored six points in 16 minutes off the bench Wednesday night in his first action since January 23rd. Walker shot 2-9 from the field, and it is clear it will take him a few games to get back into game shape. Walker will likely come off the bench for at least another game. Charlotte's next game is Friday night against Chicago.
Fantasy Impact:
It is a relief to fantasy owners to see Kemba Walker back on the court, especially just before the playoffs begin for many leagues. Owners were probably disappointed with his production tonight, but a game or two like this is expected coming off a major injury. Walker is averaging 18.5 points and 5.2 rebounds this season, but if Charlotte wants to remain in playoff contention it might take better numbers than those, especially if the injury Al Jefferson suffered on Wednesday turns out to be serious.
