Roberson played in seven regular season games and one playoff game last year after missing over two years due to a devastating knee injury. Roberson was never the biggest offensive threat throughout his career, but that is far from what this Nets team needs. What Brooklyn needs is help on the defensive side of the ball, a forte of Roberson when he was healthy. The Nets will likely ease him back into action, but if Roberson can return to even half of his old form on the defensive side of the ball where he was averaging a steal per game, his presence can potentially do wonders for the Nets defense.
