JaVale McGee totaled 20 points (9-10 FG, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, and one block in the Suns’ 135-108 win over the Pistons on Sunday.
McGee scored 20.0 points in the Suns’ win over the Pistons, putting together an impressive stat-line in only 15.0 minutes of play. With the early exit of DeAndre Ayton, McGee stepped in and did what he does best…perform. Should Ayton see an extended absence, McGee could be a great fantasy asset to leverage to build some cheap value into your lineup. Although the rise of Jalen Smith could impact his usual spot-start opportunity, he should still find a way to produce impactful outcomes for your roster. The possible drawback is that despite his awesome point-per-minute production, his ceiling is relatively low, which could prevent the necessary upside needed to remain competitive in GPPs. However, his price-point, committed role, and talent could offset that aspect of his game.
