JaVale McGee scored five points (2-5 FG, 0-0 3Pt, 1-2 Ft) with 11 rebounds, three steals and one block over 21 minutes in a 113-103 win on Friday night.
The Lakers center has only been averaging about 7.0 ppg this season and 5.8 rebounds a game but as a starter who plays 20+ minutes, it would be ideal for him to shoot a higher percentage from the field in the future.
JaVale McGee posted a decent statline on Thursday with 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist, and one steal over 19 minutes in a 116-86 win against the Warriors.
McGee's biggest strength this season has been his ability to stay healthy as he's started in all but two games for the Lakers midway through his 12th season. Only averaging 5.7 points this month, Thursday was an above-average scoring effort for the aging center. Given his lack of ability to consistently score he holds little value in fantasy.
JaVale McGee scored four points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt), grabbed five rebounds, dished one assist, and blocked a shot over 16 minutes in Thursday's 121-111 home loss to the Rockets.
McGee only saw the court for 16 minutes last night as his rim protecting was rarely needed against the Rockets' small ball lineup. Anthony Davis has a lock on paint duties for the Lakers and McGee only seems to see the court when he needs a breather. Although McGee is averaging 3.5 blocks per minutes, good for third overall in the league, his 16.9 minutes per game don't garner enough excitement to make him a go-ahead start every night.
JaVale McGee scored 14 points (5-7 FG, 0-0 3Pt, 4-5 Ft) while tallying five rebounds and a block across 15 minutes in a 129-102 victory against the Spurs on Tuesday night.
This was McGee's second double-digit scoring outing in his last five games but the center has averaged just 7.3 points per game on the season. Although he got the start tonight, 15 minutes isn't a whole lot and hopefully there will be more playing time for the big man in the near future.
