JaVale McGee started in place of Michael Porter, Jr. (rest) on Thursday evening and scored 12 points (6-12 FG) to go with 13 rebounds and two blocks in 24 minutes during a win over Minnesota.
The double-double was his first of the season and the playing time was by far the most in his tenure with the Nuggets. If the Nuggets opt to rest Porter, Jr. again (or Nikola Jokic) in the final two games remaining, McGee could certainly provide similar production.
The Cavaliers traded center JaVale McGee to the Denver Nuggets.
Cleveland is receiving Isaiah Hartenstein and a couple of second-round picks. McGee is going to back up Nikola Jokic in Denver after taking on a leadership role with the Cavs. McGee's arrival in Denver further limits the fantasy appeal of JaMychal Green.

McGee was actually the best Cavalier on the court tonight, as he efficiently amassed 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds. He's still too inconsistent to deploy in lineups, though would become a must-add if Jarrett Allen were to go down.
JaVale McGee tallied 16 points (8-10 FG), eight boards, one assist, one steal, two blocks, and one turnover in Tuesday night's defeat to the Heat.
This was actually McGee's fourth double-digit scoring effort in five games. Despite his recent productive nights, he should remain on the waiver wire.
JaVale McGee added 10 points (5-7 FG), five rebounds, and three blocks in Monday night's win versus Houston.
McGee registered a decent outing in under 17 minutes of playing time. He'd be a strong pickup in most formats if Jarrett Allen were to miss any games, but still belongs on the waiver wire until further notice.
