Brandon Ingram (toe) sits out preseason win Friday

Brandon Ingram did not play in New Orleans’ 107-101 preseason win against Detroit on Friday. Ingram missed his second straight preseason contest on Friday as he deals with a toe issue but his status for the start of the regular season does not appear in jeopardy.

Fantasy Impact:

In his first three years in New Orleans, since coming over in the Anthony Davis trade, Ingram has averaged 23.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.0 assists while making two 3-pointers a game. He has shot 46.3% from the field, 36.6% from beyond the arc, and 85.2% from the line in those three seasons, and fantasy managers should expect more of the same. However, Ingram has not played in more than 62 games since becoming an NBA starter in 2017-18, his second year in the league, due to various ailments, and will possibly miss double-digit games. He is a star when on the court and should still play in over 3/4 of the season and will likely be off the board in the third or fourth round.
