Walker Kessler has six blocks in loss to the Grizzlies

Walker Kessler totaled nine points (4-11 FG, 0-2 3PT, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, one steal, and six blocks in the Jazz’s 105-91 loss to the Grizzlies.

Fantasy Impact:

Kessler had 6.0 blocks in the Jazz’s loss to the Grizzlies, making this his seventh-consecutive game with at least two blocks. It appears the injury that slowed him earlier this season is behind him, and he is already demonstrating the multi-categorical upside that made his rookie season a success. Even with the injury, Kessler is nearly matching his production from last season and looks poised to exceed the expectations we have for him in his sophomore campaign. Although we do not know whether his load management is complete, he still warrants must-start consideration in most season-long leagues. Kessler is a viable option in daily formats; however, he will likely be a chalky play, given his significantly discounted price point and upside. He has a usage rate of 15.2 percent, a plus-minus of -7.1, and is averaging 24.2 minutes, 9.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.2 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game while shooting 54.3 percent from the floor and 22.2 percent from beyond the arc.
