Derrick Rose totaled 14 points (7-11 FG, 5-9 3PT), four rebounds, and nine assists in the Grizzlies’ 105-91 win over the Jazz.
Fantasy Impact:
Rose scored 14.0 points in the Grizzlies' win over the Jazz, making this his third consecutive double-digit scoring performance. Rose is still a good basketball player, and I hope he is given ample opportunity to demonstrate that with this opportunity with the Grizzlies. The team is down and has been hit with the injury bug like no other and are due for some relief, and I think Rose could offer that. Although he isn't who he used to be, he has remained productive over the past few years and looks poised to continue this trend should the team leverage his experience and talent. Looking at his game log over the past several seasons, it seems as though his actual down year came in 2017-2018, but outside of that, his production has remained, all things considered, consistent across all performance categories. Now we all know his health is his biggest opponent; if he can win this battle, then he could warrant must-roster status even with the return of Marcus Smart and Ja Morant. He should be a good source of points and assists in season-long leagues and a value play in daily formats. Rose has a usage rate of 22.2 percent, a plus-minus -1.2, and is averaging 18.8 minutes, 10.1 points, 2.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.1 blocks per game while shooting 47.4 percent from the floor and 42.1 percent from beyond the arc.
