Derrick Rose (knee) probable for Monday’s game

Derrick Rose (knee) is listed as probable for Monday’s game against the Cavaliers.

Fantasy Impact

The knee issue will most likely not keep Rose from playing in Monday’s game, but with Reggie Jackson returning, the Pistons could scale back his minutes. He currently owns a 12 20-point scoring streak, and will look to make it 13 in Monday’s game versus the Cavaliers. Fantasy owners should monitor his status closer to tip-off to ensure he is active.

Derrick Rose records career-high 12th consecutive 20-point performance

Derrick Rose scored a team-high 27 points on 10-of-22, going 2-of-4 from deep and sinking all five free throws in Friday's overtime loss to the Nets. He grabbed four rebounds, passed for six assists, and stole two balls in 37 minutes.

Fantasy Impact

Rose has been on an absolute tear this month, scoring 22.7 points, grabbing 3.3 rebounds, and dishing 6.3 assists. While the common thought seemed to be that a change of scenery would benefit Derrick Rose, it's hard to imagine him doing much better than that current streak he's on. The February 6th trade deadline is quickly approaching and the Pistons are reportedly willing to deal the former MVP for a first round pick. The Pistons will face the Cavaliers on Monday night and Rose is a must-start in fantasy.

Derrick Rose extends 20-point streak in Friday's loss to Memphis

Derrick Rose scored a team-high 22 points (10-21 FG, 0-2 3PT, 2-3 FT) eight assists, three rebounds and one steal across 33 minutes in Friday's 125-112 loss to the Grizzlies.

Fantasy Impact

Rose has now scored 20 points or more in 11 consecutive games, making it the longest streak of career. The Pistons are showcasing Rose, as they plan to move him by the NBA trade deadline. He is having terrific season for the Pistons averaging 18.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.9 triples across 40 games this year. The Pistons next scheduled game is Saturday, home against the Nets.

Pistons reportedly asking for a first round pick in a trade for Rose

Derrick Rose trade rumors have been swirling lately and the Pistons are reportedly asking for a first round pick in return for the former-MVP.

Fantasy Impact

Rose has been on a tear lately, scoring 20 points or more in 10 straight games and leading the Pistons in scoring. Reggie Jackson just returned from a 42-game absence so the Pistons may be willing to deal the backup point guard. The Pistons are currently 17-28 with no real shot of making a run in the playoffs, so shipping off a valuable and aging asset for a pick would make a lot of sense. If Rose ends up on a team where he can consistently get 30 minutes, he could sneak into the top-10 tier for point guards.
