Cole Anthony totaled four points (1-3 FG, 2-2 FT), one rebound, two assists, two steals, and one block in the Magic’s 130-125 win over the Wizards.
Fantasy Impact:
Anthony scored 4.0 points in the Magic’s win over the Wizards, putting together an underwhelming performance to start the month. His down game could’ve been due to him being in foul trouble; however, that potential correlation does very little to reconcile the negative impact of his inconvenient struggle game. The silver lining, however, is that this performance can be considered an outlier, given his sensational play to begin the season and the successful evolution of his bench role into a critical component of the team’s rotation. Despite the realities of these kinds of performances, Anthony still warrants must-roster consideration as a multi-categorical contributor in most season-long leagues. Although he has demonstrated his potential upside, his increased price point and possible lack of adequate consistency in his production could limit his appeal in daily formats. Anthony has a usage rate of 24.5 percent, a plus-minus of 2.1, and averages 25.5 minutes, 14.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game while shooting 43.9 percent from the floor and 37.5 percent from beyond the arc.
