Milwaukee Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo will play Friday against Memphis after sitting out Wednesday with a quad injury. (Source: Chris Herrington on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: There's no indication he'll be limited or face any kind of minutes restriction when he returns to the court Friday. The reigning MVP has averaged 30.9 points, 13.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 2.6 combined blocks/steals and 1.6 triples this season.

Category: Injury Updates

Wesley Matthews scored 9 points, (3-5 FG, 3-5 3PT), a rebound, and a steal during his 20 minutes of floor action against the Pelicans.

Fantasy Impact: Matthews scored 11 fantasy points against the Pelicans and is averaging 13 fantasy points per game on the season. He is owned in less than 15% of all standard fantasy leagues. He remains a safe bet to stay a fantasy free-agent type player in all leagues until his stats start to improve for fantasy owners.

Category: Game Recaps

Brook Lopez scored 9 points, (3-10 FG, 2-4 3PT, 1-2 FT), 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and a block during his 25 minutes of floor action against the Pelicans.

Fantasy Impact: Brook Lopez scored 19 fantasy points against the Pelicans and is averaging 19 fantasy points per game on the season in standard fantasy leagues. Although he is on pace to score 76 less 3 point shots this season compared to last, he is only averaging 2 points less per game on the season than last year which is good to see. Brook Lopez is currently the 30th ranked center in the NBA in standard fantasy leagues.

Category: Game Recaps

George Hill scored 13 points (5-7 FG, 3-3 3PT), 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals during his 19 minutes off the bench against the Pelicans.

Fantasy Impact: Hill scored 24 fantasy points against the Pelicans and is averaging 18.9 fantasy points per game on the season. He is owned in less than 20% of standard fantasy leagues and remains a safe bet to stay that way until he proves otherwise or an injury to the starting lineup occurs.

Category: Game Recaps

Khris Middleton put up 24 points (11-22 FG, 1-4 3PT, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, four assists, and two steals over 30 minutes of play Wednesday night.

Fantasy Impact: His deep shooting percentage was less than ideal, but Middleton still put up a solid fantasy performance as the Bucks blew out the Pelicans 127-112. The 24 points were the most he's seen in over a month, in part because Milwaukee's leading scorer Giannis Antetokounmpo sat out the contest with a sore quad.

Category: Game Recaps

Ersan Ilyasova scored a season-high 18 points (8-10 FG, 2-3 3PT, 2-3 FT), along with nine rebounds, three assists, and one steal over 26 minutes of play Wednesday night.

Fantasy Impact: Ilyasova put filled in admirably for reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who sat out the night with a sore quad. Ilyasova has been solid off the bench for the Bucks, but Antetokounmpo doesn't appear to be in danger of missing a significant amount of time, so his upside is very capped.

Category: Game Recaps

Eric Bledsoe scored a team-high 29 points (10-13 FG, 5-6 3PT, 4-4 FT) to go along with three rebounds, six assists, and two steals over 25 minutes of play Wednesday night.

Fantasy Impact: Bledsoe was leaned on for more scoring Wednesday night with Giannis Antetokounmpo given a night off, and he didn't disappoint. The 29 points were the most he's scored in nearly a month. His scoring will likely go down when Antetokounmpo returns to the lineup, but if he can continue to shoot hot from the field he'll still put up solid fantasy numbers.

Category: Game Recaps

Donte DiVincenzo scored 11 points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3PT, 6-6 FT) to go along with five rebounds, one assist, and a career-high four steals over 22 minutes of play.

Fantasy Impact: DiVincenzo has taken big strides in his second season in the NBA. He's scored double-digit points in five of his last six games, despite coming off the bench again now that Khris Middleton has returned to the starting lineup. He's worth owning in deep leagues and monitoring in most standard leagues.

Category: Game Recaps

Pat Connaughton totaled 13 points (5-5 FG, 2-2 3PT, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, and one assist over 21 minutes of play Friday night.

Fantasy Impact: It was a nice shooting performance, but it was also his first time hitting double-digit points in well over a week. He is not worth rostering in any fantasy leagues at this point.

Sterling Brown will not play Monday against the Knicks. (Source:

Fantasy Impact: Brown will miss his third straight game due to a shoulder sprain. Once he returns, Brown will be regulated back to the bench with Kris Middleton returning from injury. Brown is currently day-to-day.

Category: Injury Updates

Robin Lopez scored 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3PT) to go along with six rebounds, four assists, and three blocks over 23 minutes of play Saturday night.

Fantasy Impact: Robin started in place of his twin brother Brook, who sat out with a bothersome back injury. It isn't expected to be serious, which means there's no reason to add Robin to any fantasy rosters at this point, though he does make a good DFS value if Brook is ever ruled out again.

Category: Game Recaps

D.J. Wilson put up 11 points (4-9 FG, 3-8 3PT), three rebounds, and three assists over 23 minutes of play Saturday night.

Fantasy Impact: It was Wilson's first double-digit performance of the season, and it came as the Bucks trounced the Hornets 137-96. Wilson provided decent fantasy performances during some stretches last season but has yet to secure a regular role in the rotation this season. He's best left on the waiver wire for now.

Category: Game Recaps

Dragan Bender totaled 12 points (5-7 FG, 2-4 3PT), one rebound, and one assist in 13 minutes of action Saturday night.

Fantasy Impact: It was Bender's first significant time on the court with the Bucks, and it came in a lopsided victory over the Hornets. There is no reason to roster the former lottery pick in any fantasy formats at the moment.

Kyle Korver will rest Friday and miss Milwaukee's matchup with Orlando. (Source: NBA Injury Report)

Fantasy Impact: The long-time veteran is getting a rest day Friday after averaging 9.3 points and 2.5 triples on 50.0% shooting from deep across 16.8 minutes per contest in four games this season.

Category: Injury Updates

Frank Mason III scored 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting in Monday's preseason opener with the Bucks. He also led the team with six assists, four assists, and 26 minutes of playing time.

Fantasy Impact: The third-year guard signed a two-way contract with Milwaukee this offseason and will be looking to play his way into a role this preseason. He won't have any immediate fantasy relevance to begin the season but is worth keeping on eye on in dynasty leagues and could be a solid preseason DFS play.

Category: Game Recaps

Thanasis Antetokounmpo grabbed ten rebounds and put up nine points in Milwaukee's preseason opener, falling just short of a double-double.

Fantasy Impact: It was a nice debut for Thanasis with Milwaukee. It may be an uphill battle for him to see any significant court time once the real games start, but it probably doesn't hurt to be playing with his younger brother, who just also happens to be the reigning MVP of the league

Jon Leuer waived by the Bucks

Tue, Jul 9th 9:36pm EDT
By Brad Camara

Jon Leuer was waived the by the Bucks on Tuesday. (Source: Shams Charania on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Leuer was acquired by the Bucks in mid June for Tony Snell and the 30th pick of the 2019 NBA Draft to the Pistons. He will not take the court with the Bucks, and will try to latch onto another team this offseason. Leuer averaged 3.8 points, and 2.4 rebounds in 41 games for the Pistons last season.

Tim Frazier and the Pistons have agreed to terms on a one-year, $2 million contract. (Source: Chris Haynes on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Frazier will come to Detroit as likely the third point guard behind Reggie Jackson and Derrick Rose. Frazier averaged 5.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 59 games for the Pelicans/Bucks last season.

Category: Transactions

Malcolm Brogdon agrees to a four-year, 85 million dollar deal with the Indiana Pacers. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: The Pacers have found their replacement for Bojan Bogdanovic in Malcolm Brogdon. Last year, Brogdon averaged 15.6 points per game, but that will increase next year with the Pacers. Malcolm Brogdon should be a sleeper candidate next year in drafts.

Category: Transactions

Mirotic has decided to sign a contract with Barcelona of the EuroLeague. (Source: Shams Charania on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Mirotic was rumored to be in the market for a $40-$50 million NBA deal, but ultimately decided to sign overseas. The role player market just got a little thinner, and it's not clear at this time if Mirotic has any future plans to return to the NBA. Mirotic averaged 15.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.7 blocks in 46 games for the Bucks/Pelicans last season.
