Milwaukee Bucks

Eastern Central

Bucks' star Giannis Antetokounmpo has been named MVP of the 2020 NBA season. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: It was truly a dominant season for Giannis as he put up just under 30.0 points to go along with 13.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.0 block in only 30.4 minutes per game. Still only 25-years-old, Giannis has now won two MVP awards to go along with a Defensive Player of the Year award and is quickly cementing his legacy as one of the league's most dominant players. Winning an NBA title is the only thing left to accomplish. He will enter the 2021 NBA season fully poised to reclaim his spot as the top fantasy option across all formats.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Bucks PG Eric Bledsoe is expected to become a potential trade target this offseason. (Source: Shams Charania on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Bledsoe signed a four-year, $70 million extension back in March 2019 that will expire in 2022-2023. However, 'rival experts' say that the Bucks are looking to acquire more shooting and a playmaker to pair with Giannis Antetokounmpo, making Bledsoe expendable. He is coming off a good season, being named to the 2019-2020 NBA All-Defensive second team and will bode well for his trade value along with a contract that carries a $17.5M annual salary.

Khris Middleton scored 23 points (8-25 FG, 2-9 3PT, 5-6 3PT) to go along with seven rebounds, six assists, one steal, and six turnovers in 41 minutes as Bucks are eliminated from the playoffs.

Fantasy Impact: Middleton did his best to put the team on his back down Giannis Antetokounmpo due to the ankle injury. His shot however was not falling, shooting just 8-of-25 from the field. He also committed six turnovers and fouled out late in the game. That'll do it for the Bucks, who come up short once again in the playoffs.

Brook Lopez racked up 14 points (5-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 41 minutes to extend Milwaukee's season.

Fantasy Impact: Lopez was mostly solid in a do-or-die situation in Game 4. He was able to produce double-digit points for the eighth-straight game on Sunday afternoon. In addition, he did an admirable job of cleaning the glass with five boards. Keen DFS players would certainly expect a bit more production from the talented big man, but with a salary of $5,800 on both Draftkings and Fanduel respectively, the value is certainly there. Expect Lopez to put the rubber to the road facing another elimination scenario in Game 5.

George Hill collected eight points, four assists and one rebound in 36 minutes of work in a losing effort on Monday.

Fantasy Impact: Hill was thrust into a starting role at the eleventh hour as Eric Bledsoe (hamstring) was scratched. Hill didn't do a whole lot to avenge Bledsoe's absence as the entire Milwaukee squad struggled. Hill had half as many turnovers (4) as points (8) across 36 minutes which effectively neutralized any DFS value his performance garnered. If Hill was a late value play in most lineups, he most likely let you down. If Bledsoe is inactive again for game two, it may be best to not take the bait and stay away from Hill against the competent Miami defense.

Marvin Williams registered 12 points (4-8 FG, 4-5 3Pt), seven rebounds and one block in 22 minutes during Saturday's 118-104 Game 5 win against the Magic.

Fantasy Impact: Williams had his best outing in Game 5, reaching double figures in points for the first time all series. He buried four triples and pulled down seven rebounds in Saturday's Game 5 win. Williams is a veteran presence and capable of providing solid production off Milwaukee's bench. The Bucks will take on the Heat in the second of the NBA playoffs.

Wesley Matthews deposited 12 points (4-6 FG, 4-6 3Pt), three assists, two rebounds and one steal in 21 minutes against the Magic on Monday.

Fantasy Impact: Matthews' output came solely on three point shots during Monday's demolition of the Magic. The two guard was feeling it beyond the arc, going 66 percent from long range. Realistically, Matthews will only hit value if he goes nuclear from downtown. Given the fact that other scorers have awoken for Milwaukee, don't expect them to funnel the ball to Matthews anytime soon. He's a desperation play, even at his affordable salary.

Frank Mason III remained hot off the bench, putting up 18 points (7-13 FG, 1-2 FT), and adding a team-high eight assists, four rebounds while getting a steal, a block, and three three-pointers in 26 minutes of play.

Fantasy Impact: Mason III hit double figures for the third consecutive game and has been a revelation to the Bucks bench, averaging 18.0 points, 6.0 assists, and 3.6 rebounds over that span. Mason III likely earned himself more playing time once the playoffs start but may not be the 20+ minutes he's averaged in the past three contests.

Donte DiVincenzo led Milwaukee with nine rounds off the bench Monday night. He also chipped in six points (2-9 FG, 0-3 3PT, 2-2 FT), one assist, one steal, and one block over 27 minutes of play off the bench.

Fantasy Impact: DiVincenzo has been largely ineffective with his minutes so far during the bubble restart. He may get some additional playing time in the last two games of the seeding round but would still be considered a risky fantasy play at best.

Pat Connaughton logged 12 points (4-8 FG, 2-6 3PT, 2-2 FT) to go along with five rebounds, two steals, and a block over 21 minutes of play while drawing a spot start Monday against Toronto.

Fantasy Impact: Connaughton drew the start in place of Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was rested after undergoing a minor dental procedure. Connaughton has been primarily a role player with the Bucks this season and has minimal fantasy value when Milwaukee is full strength, though he's likely to see additional run as the seeding round of the NBA restart winds down with the Bucks already locked into the top spot in the East.

Kyle Korver had an extremely efficient shooting night off the bench for the Bucks, scoring 19 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Kover hit five three-pointers, to go along with four rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

Fantasy Impact: Kyle Korver did most of his damage from the three-point line, scoring 19 points in 22 minutes. Wesley Matthews left the game in the first quarter after landing awkwardly, which could move Korver into the starting lineup. If Kover is starting for the Bucks at any point, he should be considered in all fantasy leagues. Kover's three-point shooting makes him a threat any time he is on the court.

Ersan Ilyasova collected 11 points (4-6 FG 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT) to go along with 10 rebounds, two assists and a block in an extended shift of 23 minutes.

Fantasy Impact: Ilyasova had his best performance of the restart by far but it's likely an outlier when viewing it through a fantasy lens. He shot the ball well, connecting with two threes. He paired that with 10 boards which gave him a very slim double-double. The power-forward's minutes received a substantial uptick due to Coach Budenholzer's decision to rest his starters in the second half. It's best not to make too much of this performance.

Robin Lopez scored nine points (3-4 FG, 2-2 FT) along with one rebound and one assist in just 14 minutes in Milwaukee's 119-112 win over the Boston Celtics.

Fantasy Impact: Lopez has no fantasy value as he will continue to play limited minutes off the bench. There should be other options available in any format.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo was evaluated for a concussion after falling headfirst to the floor trying to defend a dunk. (Source: Chris Lavinio on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Antetokounmpo tried to defend a dunk from Drew Eubanks and fell headfirst to the floor. He was evaluated for a concussion and is currently day-to-day. The 28-year-old plays a limited role off the bench and is not regular part of the Bucks rotation. Antetokounmpo averaged 2.5 points, 1.1 rebounds, 0.5 assists across 18 games this season.

Category: Injury Updates

D.J. Wilson racked up ten points (4-10 FG, 2-6 3PT), nine rebounds, and one assist in 21 minutes off the bench Monday night.

Fantasy Impact: Wilson has only seen game action in four of Milwaukee's last ten games and has only seen 20+ minutes on the floor four times this season. The former first-round pick has flashed potential in the past but is too buried on this depth chart to have any fantasy relevance.

Sterling Brown put up 16 points (6-16 FG, 3-8 3PT, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists, and one block over 36 minutes of play Monday night in Denver.

Fantasy Impact: Brown took advantage of the start by putting up a season-high point total against good competition in Denver but it came on a night where the Bucks rested the majority of their usual rotation. Barring an injury in front of him, Brown is unlikely to have much fantasy impact down the home stretch of the season.
