Jayson Tatum (Achilles) has undergone successful surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon injury he suffered against the Knicks on Monday night. (Boston Celtics on X)

No timetable has been given for the Celtics star, but given the nature of the injury and the usual timeline, Tatum is likely to miss most, if not all, of the 2025-26 NBA season. The Celtics will have to look elsewhere for leadership and scoring during his absence, and it makes for an especially interesting offseason for Boston.
