Herbert Jones signs three-year extension with Pelicans

Herb Jones has agreed to a three-year, $68 million contract extension with the New Orleans Pelicans. (Shams Charania on Twitter)

Jones is now under contract with the Pelicans for five years and $97 million, including a player option for the 2029-30 season. He was limited to just 20 games last season due to injuries and underwent shoulder surgery on February 12. He’s currently rehabbing and is expected to be ready for the start of the 2025-26 season. Jones averaged 10.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.9 steals this past season.
