Dalton Knecht's 2026-27 team option picked up by Lakers

The Lakers picked up Dalton Knecht's team option for the 2026-27 season on Tuesday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. This is largely a formality and keeps Knecht on the books for $4.2 million for that season. (Keith Smith)
Fantasy Impact:
Although it didn't translate to the exhibitions, it's been widely reported that coach JJ Redick has been impressed by Knecht in training camp. He is likely to get an opportunity to impress early on while LeBron James is sidelined.
