Knecht tallied 16 points (6-7 FG, 0-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and four three-pointers in Wednesday’s loss to the Thunder. He did most of his damage in the fourth quarter, shooting 4-of-5 from the field and knocking down three triples after the outcome was essentially decided.

The forward continues to flash the ability to offer impactful offense when on the floor, but needs a more consistent role moving forward in the Los Angeles rotation for fantasy managers.

The Lakers picked up Dalton Knecht's team option for the 2026-27 season on Tuesday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. This is largely a formality and keeps Knecht on the books for $4.2 million for that season.

Although it didn't translate to the exhibitions, it's been widely reported that coach JJ Redick has been impressed by Knecht in training camp. He is likely to get an opportunity to impress early on while LeBron James is sidelined.
