Brunson will not play Friday against the Heat after being diagnosed with a Grade 1 right ankle sprain, per Shams Charania of ESPN. He suffered the injury in the final minutes of Wednesday’s loss to the Magic and was seen exiting the arena on crutches while wearing a walking boot. He will be evaluated daily moving forward. Fantasy Impact:
With Brunson sidelined, Miles McBride, Jordan Clarkson and Tyler Kolek are all candidates for expanded roles in New York’s backcourt. Brunson’s next chance to return will be Monday in a rematch with Miami.
