Dennis Smith Jr. will be available for Tuesday's tilt with the Bulls. (Source: Mike Vorkunov on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Smith Jr. has missed the Knicks' last seven games while dealing with a death in the family, but he will return Tuesday against Chicago. According to Vorkunov, the Knicks will likely roll with Sunday's starting lineup -- one that featured Frank Ntilikina at point guard. DSJ will likely come off the bench and face some sort of minutes restriction in his first game back after such a long absence.

Elfrid Payton with a hamstring injury won't play Tuesday against the Bulls. (Source: ESPN )

Fantasy Impact: Payton on the season is averaging eight points, 3.8 assists, and three rebounds a game. He hasn't played since leaving the Bulls game on October 28th with a sore right hamstring. The Knicks are thin at point guard with Dennis Smith Jr also out. Frank Ntilikina will most likely start again tonight vs. the Bulls.

Marcus Morris scored nine points, had six rebounds, and one assist in 32 minutes in a 108-87 loss to the Cavaliers.

Fantasy Impact: Morris on the season is averaging 18.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists a game. So far this season he has been the Knicks leading scorer. He will look to bounce back against the Bulls on Tuesday. He scored 10 points in the first meeting with the Bulls.

RJ Barrett provided nine points (4-11 FG, 1-4 3 PT, 0-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 24 minutes in Sunday's 108-87 loss to the Cavaliers.

Fantasy Impact: Barrett has now scored single digits in back-to-back outings. He is averaging 15.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists across 10 games this season. Barrett is averaging 35.3 MPG, and the Knicks will continue to give the 2019 third overall pick all the minutes he can handle. He continues to contribute in counting stats, but is shooting only 40 percent from the field. The Knicks next scheduled game is Tuesday, away against the Bulls.

Category: Game Recaps

Julius Randle produced 20 points, (6-14 FG, 1-2 3PT, 7-10 FT) 16 rebounds and one assist in Sunday's 108-87 loss to the Cavaliers.

Fantasy Impact: Randle posted his seventh double-double of the year and pulled down a season-high 16 rebounds in Sunday's loss. He was the lone bright spot in otherwise a lopsided loss to the Cavaliers. Randle will look to continue his strong play when the Knicks visit the Bulls on Tuesday.

Mitchell Robinson (concussion) will miss at least the next two games. (Source: Knicks PR on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Robinson was already ruled out earlier for tonight's matchup against Cleveland and now he's also been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Bulls. He'll need to pass the NBA's concussion protocol before he can return. Bobby Portis and Taj Gibson will get more minutes.

Category: Injury Updates

Bobby Portis scored 14 points, had 12 rebounds, and one assist in 24 minutes off the bench in a 106-102 win over the Mavericks.

Fantasy Impact: Portis on the season is averaging 10 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists a game. With Mitchell Robinson out Sunday, Portis will share minutes with Taj Gibson at center.

Category: Game Recaps

Taj Gibson scored six points, had four rebounds, and four assists in 22 minutes off the bench in a 122-102 loss to the Pistons.

Fantasy Impact: Gibson on the season is averaging 2.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists a game. His fantasy value has been low this season due to lack of playing time and injury.

Category: Game Recaps

Frank Ntilikina scored two points, had three assists, and two rebounds in 15 minutes in a 113-92 loss to the Kings.

Fantasy Impact: Ntilikina on the season is averaging 3.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists a game. Even though he has started the last two games at point guard he hasn't produced enough to warrant using him in fantasy.

Category: Game Recaps

Kevin Knox scored two points, had three rebounds, and one assist in 21 minutes off the bench in a 113-92 loss to the Kings.

Fantasy Impact: Knox on the season is averaging 10.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists a game. This was Knox's worst game of the season. His fantasy value has gotten done from last year as Marcus Morris starts over him at small forward. Knox will look for a bounce back game against the Pistons on Wednesday.

Wayne Ellington is starting Wednesday’s contest against Orlando. (Source: Marc Berman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Ellington will enter the lineup in place of Dennis Smith who’s out with a personal issue. He will see an uptick in minutes and usage in Wednesday’s game.

Allonzo Trier provided a team-high 22 points (6-7 FG, 3-4 3PT, 7-11 FT), three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block across 23 minutes during Friday's 113-109 loss to the Nets.

Fantasy Impact: Trier started the season opener but came off the bench in Friday's loss to the Nets. He played just seven minutes during the season opener despite drawing the start. Trier thrived in his role off the bench in Friday's loss and looks to have surpassed reserve Dennis Smith Jr. for meaningful minutes. The Knicks next game is Saturday, home against the Celtics.

Allen has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Spurs due to right knee soreness. (Source: ESPN )

Fantasy Impact: Kadeem Allen last season averaged 9.9 points, four assists, and 2.7 rebounds a game. Allen will most likely get limited minutes off the bench at shooting guard when the regular season begins and when he returns from injury.

Category: Injury Updates

Amir Hinton will miss Saturday's practice due to personal reasons. (Source: ESPN )

Fantasy Impact: Amir Hinton is a rookie and a long shot to make the regular season roster. He will most likely begin the season in the G League.

Reggie Bullock with a back injury will be re-evaluated in early November. (Source: ESPN )

Fantasy Impact: Reggie Bullock was one of the Knick's off season signings. Last season with the Pistons and the Lakers he averaged 11.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and two rebounds a game. When he does come back from injury he is expected to get minutes at shooting guard off the bench.

Damyean Dotson with a shoulder injury is expected to miss the entire preseason. (Source: ESPN )

Fantasy Impact: Damyean Dotson last season averaged 10.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists a game. When Dotson comes back he is expected to be the back up shooting guard to rookie RJ Barrett.

Emmanuel Mudiay has agreed to a one-year contract with the Jazz. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Mudiay will most likely come off the bench to backup newly acquired point guard Michael Conley. He saw his role increase for the Knicks last season, setting career highs in points, field goal percentage, and three pointers made. Mudiay averaged 14.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 0.7 steals in 59 games for the Knicks last season.

Mario Hezonja has agreed to play for the Blazers for a minimum contract. The contract also has a player option for the 2020-2021 season. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Hezonja showed brief glimpses of talent throughout his career, but his inconsistencies granted him only 24 starts with Knicks last year. The Blazers hope that the small forward can build upon his career averages of 7.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists, and work as a solid bench option for coach Terry Stotts.

DeAndre Jordan has agreed to terms with the Nets on a four-year, $40 million contract. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: DeAnder Jordan will join forces with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant as the final piece of the Nets free agency haul. Jordan is one of the best rebounders in the league, but is no longer the elite defender he once was when playing for the Clippers. It will remain to be seen how Jordan and current starting center Jarrett Allen will mesh together. Jordan averaged 11.0 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 69 games for the Knicks/Mavericks last season.
