The Knicks' President Leon Rose is reportedly "not sold" on SF Kevin Knox, per Marc Berman of the New York Post. (Source: Marc Berman of NY Post)

Fantasy Impact: "Rookie president Leon Rose, who has not spoken to the media since his hiring, is not sold on Knox and desperately wanted to see him in the now-scrapped final 16 games, sources told The Post." The article does state that a new coach could help develop Knox. He struggled most of the 2019-2020 campaign, averaging 6.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.4 steals and 1.0 triples across 65 games this season. “He’s had people question his desire, question his toughness, question his defense, question his shooting,’’ Kentucky's AC Kenny Payne said. “In my opinion, great players, good players in the NBA, it’s not can he shoot, defend, rebound. It’s about if he’s secure and comfortable doing it, getting him more comfortable. Getting him in a more aggressive mindset to do it is more important.’’ Knox will look to improve on his game next season as the Knicks take a closer look to see what they have in the 20-year-old.

The Knicks are focused on building around SF RJ Barrett and reportedly looking for players to complement the rookie. (Source: Ian Begley of SNY)

Fantasy Impact: “If you want to complement Barrett, that’s where I’d go, one opposing front office member said. Adding (a guard and big man who can shoot the perimeter), you space the floor and make things easier for him. The floor was so crowded for him this year.” The Knicks have an obvious need of shooters to spread the court as the team shot 33.7 percent from downtown this season. New York will focus on bringing in players to compliment Barrett, which should only increase in fantasy value. Barrett is averaging 14.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.1 triples across 56 games this year.

Dennis Smith reportedly could be on the move as the Knicks attempt to tighten their salary cap this upcoming off-season. “The Knicks would love to pawn off the final year of Dennis Smith’s contract at $5.7 million,” said Marc Berman of the New York Post. (Source: Marc Berman of the New York Post)

Fantasy Impact: “They may have to add Kevin Knox ($4.6 million), whom the Post reported Knicks’ President Leon Rose isn’t sold on, or Frank Ntilikina’s ($6.2 million), too,” Berman added. Dennis Smith has a qualifying offer for $7.7 million for the 2021-2022 season. The Knicks are interested in acquiring PG Chris Paul via trade and could move on from Smith. A change of scenery would only help Smith’s fantasy value. The Knicks will weigh out their options as they look to gain cap flexibility this off-season. Smith averaged 5.5 points, 2.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 0.8 steals across 34 games this season.

Frank Ntilikina is expected to remain with the Knicks due to his "strong connection" with New York's Team President Leon Rose. (Source: Marc Berman of the NY Post)

Fantasy Impact: Knicks' GM Scott Perry has never been a fan of Ntilikina and has reportedly shopped the 21-year-old guard often, per Marc Berman of the New York Post. Team President Leon Rose has a strong connection with Ntilikina and Berman believes he will remain with the Knicks. Ntilikina is an elite perimeter defender and did show flashes of offensive potential(dropping a career-high 20 points in March 10th's loss to the Wizards) in the 2019-2020 campaign. He averaged 6.3 points, 2.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.8 triples across 57 games this season.

Fantasy Impact: Ellington on the season is averaging 5.1 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists a game. He doesn't score enough or receive enough minutes to warrant using him in fantasy. It is unclear when the next NBA game will be due to the coronavirus.

Maurice Harkless provided 14 points (6-13 FG, 0-4 3PT, 2-3 FT) six rebounds, six assists and one steal across 41 minutes in Wednesday’s 136-131 win over the Hawks.

Fantasy Impact: Harkless has scored double figures only twice across six games during the month of March. He is averaging 6.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists during that span. Despite starting, Harkless does not produce enough to be considered in standard leagues. The NBA is currently suspended and it is unclear at this time when it will resume play.

Elfrid Payton compiled 11 points (4-8 FG, 3-4 FT) 12 assists, five rebounds, four steals and one block across 34 minutes in Wednesday’s 136-131 win over the Hawks.

Fantasy Impact: Payton recorded his ninth double-double of the year in Wednesday’s win. He continues to stuff the stat sheet on a nightly basis, averaging 12.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.3 steals across six games in March. Payton should be owned in all league formats. The 26-year old guard will look to continue to rack up categories once the NBA resumes play.

Julius Randle scored a team-high 33 points (13-22 FG, 3-6 3PT, 4-4 FT) with 11 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal across 33 minutes in Wednesday’s 136-131 win over the Hawks.

Fantasy Impact: Randle has recorded a double-double in six of his last eight contests. He has been on a roll lately, averaging 22.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.0 triples during that stretch. Randle is having a career-year, but his season is on hold for now until the NBA resumes play.

Mitchell Robinson finished with 16 points (7-7 FG, 2-7 FT), six rebounds, one steal, and two blocks in 26 minutes in a OT win over the Hawks on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact: Robinson shot perfect from the field again, marking the 16th time he's done it this season. His minutes have taken a little bit of a hit, especially only playing 26 minutes in an overtime game tonight. He's been dealing with an illness the past two games and a sore left hamstring so that could be the reason. Still, he's playing better as of late, so pair that with his elite FG% and blocks and he should have a strong finish when the season resumes.

Reggie Bullock (illness) is available to play on Wednesday versus the Jazz. (Source: Ian Begley on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: An illness has kept Bullock sidelined for the past two games but he appears to be feeling well enough to return Wednesday against the Jazz. The seven-year forward has averaged 8.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists across 25 games this season.

Allonzo Trier went for six points (3-5 FG), one rebound and an assist over 10 minutes in the Knicks’ 115-106 loss to the 76ers on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact: Trier unsurprisingly cooled off after Wednesday's 15-point showing against Charlotte, finishing Thursday's matchup with very little in the box score. He's largely been a non-factor for New York this season, and that's unlikely to change moving forward, barring injuries ahead of him on the depth chart.

Damyean Dotson scored zero points and had one rebound in six minutes off the bench in a 114-96 loss to the Wizards.

Fantasy Impact: Dotson on the season is averaging 6.7 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists a game. He has played better of late averaging nine points during the last 10 games. His next match up is against the Indiana Pacers. In two vs. the Pacers this season, Dotson is averaging nine points.

The New York Knicks have traded Marcus Morris to the Los Angeles Clippers for Moe Harkless and a 2020 first-round pick. (Source: Shams Charania)

Fantasy Impact: His fantasy value takes a major hit as he now takes a backseat to Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in LA. The window to sell him high is now closed. Morris is slated to be a free agent this summer.
