Victor Wembanyama was off to the side during Tuesday’s shootaround doing individual ball-handling work. He wasn’t wearing a boot and showed no signs of a limp. (Matthew Tynan on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Wembanyama is expected to miss a few weeks after being diagnosed with a calf strain, but it’s an encouraging sign that he’s without a boot and getting in some ball-handling work. Calf injuries can be tricky, so the San Antonio Spurs are taking an extra cautious approach and giving their star big man time to fully heal. Luke Kornet is expected to see an expanded role in his absence.
