Western Southwest

Patty Mills scored 13 points (5-12 Fg, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 Ft) two rebounds, two assists, and one steal across 37 minutes in the Spurs 122-117 loss to the Mavs on Friday night.

Fantasy Impact: The 37 minutes for Mills were a season-high due to the early exit of Dejounte Murray from the lineup because of an ankle injury. If Murray were to miss time, Mills becomes a nice option for those Murray owners out there so keep an eye on what happens before Sunday's game against the Wizards at home.

Fantasy Impact: Aldridge has now scored over 20 points in a game twice out of his last three contests but unfortunately he's only averaging 14.5 ppg for the season. The Spurs will take on the Wizards at home on Sunday night next time out.

Spurs PF Trey Lyles scored six points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3P, 1-2 FT) while adding only four rebounds across 18 minutes during Tuesday's 112-102 win over the Thunder.

Fantasy Impact: Lyles continues to be a non-factor for the Spurs so far this season. The veteran forward is averaging 2.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 0.5 assists on 13.8 minutes per game so far this season.

Spurs SG Lonnie Walker IV recorded 24 points (7-15 FG, 3-7 3P, 7-7 FT) while adding in three rebounds, two assists, and a block across 35 minutes of work during Tuesday's 112-102 win over the Thunder.

Fantasy Impact: Walker scored his second-highest point total of the season with 24 points. With DeMar DeRozan out on Tuesday, the young guard saw a massive uptick in his scoring and minutes. With DeRozan expected back soon Walker is likely headed back to a bench role.

Rudy Gay scored 15 points (6-10 Fg, 3-5 3Pt) and six rebounds across 24 minutes in the Spurs 118-109 win over the Lakers on Thursday night.

Fantasy Impact: The former UConn product is averaging 13.0 ppg over the first eight games but unfortunately he's just not seeing enough playing time to have any fantasy relevance. The Spurs take on the Timberwolves in Minneapolis on Saturday night next time out.

Keldon Johnson scored five points (2-10 Fg, 1-2 3Pt) two rebounds, two assists, and one steal across 30 minutes in the Spurs 118-109 win over the Lakers on Thursday night.

Fantasy Impact: Johnson has certainly lost his touch from the field only hitting six of his last 21 shots from the field over the last two contests after shooting over 60% in the two games prior to that. Until he can prove he's out of this funk he's not a recommended play when the Spurs take on the Timberwolves on Saturday night in Minneapolis.

Fantasy Impact: Forbes is a great addition to the Bucks' roster, as the 27-year old shooting guard averaged 11.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.5 steals on a conservative offense in San Antonio. Forbes has a great opportunity to showcase his 38.8 shooting percentage from three-point range and could provide solid fantasy value in the 2020-21 season.

Spurs 2019 first-round pick Luka Samanic scored his first NBA points in his first ever NBA start Thursday, going for 16 on 5-of-10 shooting with three triples, six rebounds, three assists, one block, and one turnover.

Fantasy Impact: Samanic had only played two games in his NBA career prior to seeing 31 minutes in a start Thursday night against the Jazz. The minutes came out of nowhere, but Gregg Popovich decided to get a look at one of his two first-rounds pick this season. The other was Keldon Johnson, who impressed in his own right throughout the re-start. This was a good test for Samanic, who seemed to pass with flying colors based on his performance.

Marco Belinelli (foot) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the Denver Nuggets.

Fantasy Impact: Belinelli saw 15 minutes in the Spurs bubble opener against the Kings but left the game due to a sprain in his left foot. The injury cost Belinelli two games, but he looks to be ready to play. Belinelli is not a target for DFS players, and his return to the rotation could be a blow to Lonnie Walker's value going forward.
