San Antonio Spurs

Western Southwest

Patty Mills totaled 20 points (7-13 FG, 3-8 3PT, 3-3 FT) but logged no other stats across 27 minutes of play off the bench Tuesday night.

Fantasy Impact: The veteran Aussie will occasionally still rack up points off the bench like he did Tuesday night but he's too inconsistent to rely on in fantasy basketball.

Derrick White compiled 17 points (6-9 FG, 1-2 3PT, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, eight assists, one steal, and one block in 27 minutes of play off the bench Tuesday night.

Fantasy Impact: White is proving to be a solid source of scoring off the bench for the Spurs lately, averaging 15 points over his last four games. That isn't worth a roster spot in standard leagues, but he's worth consideration in deeper formats.

Dejounte Murray supplied 25 points (9-12 FG, 1-1 3PT, 6-6 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, and one steal over 26 minutes of play Tuesday night.

Fantasy Impact: More had the best scoring night of his career, in part due to the absence of Spurs leading scorer DeMar DeRozan. He'll continue to rack up peripheral stats but isn't likely to score 20+ points often was DeRozan presumably returns following the All-Star break.

LaMarcus Aldridge logged 25 points (9-20 FG, 0-3 3PT, 7-8 FT), 14 rebounds, 3 assists, one steal, and one block over 38 minutes of play Tuesday night.

Fantasy Impact: The veteran big man hasn't been the elite fantasy option he once was this season, but he's still provided a steady floor most nights and can still put up a big performance on any given night. He and the Spurs will get over a week of rest until their next game due to the All-Star break.

DeMar DeRozan (back spasms) is considered doubtful for Tuesday night's game against the Thunder. (Source: Evan Closky on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: DeRozan is set to miss his second consecutive game Tuesday night due to back spasms. At this stage, it doesn't seem that the issue is serious, but with the Spurs' playing the second-half of a back-to-back set and the All-Star break looming it looks like they will play it safe with their leading scorer. Lonnie Walker started in place of DeRozan on Monday and should once again receive the starting nod.

Trey Lyles led the Spurs in scoring with 23 efficient points (9-11 FG, 4-6 3pt, 1-1 FT) while also recording 10 rebounds and two steals over 34 minutes in a 125-117 loss to the Trailblazers.

Fantasy Impact: Lyles came up three points short of his career-hig, but given the 10 boards that he peppered into last night's performance it's safe to say that this was the best game of his five-year career. Lyles has started nearly every contest this season and only turned in 5.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and one assist per game. This appears to be his absolute ceiling and while a 23 and 10 game is exciting, his season averages should be enough for you to keep him on your waiver wire.

Lonnie Walker IV contribute 11 points (4-8 FG, 2-2 3PT, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, and one block across 15 minutes of play off the bench Tuesday night.

Fantasy Impact: Walker was efficient in his time on the court, but it was his first time hitting double-digit points in nearly a month. He's not a viable fantasy option at this point.

Jakob Poeltl provided 17 points (7-8 FG, 3-5 FT), seven rebounds, two steals, one block and one assist across 18 minutes in Saturday's 114-90 win over the Hornets.

Fantasy Impact: Poeltl has now scored double figures in three of his last four contests. He is averaging 12.0 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 blocks during that stretch. Poeltl is worth an add in standard leagues if fantasy owners need help in defensive categories. The Spurs next scheduled game is Monday, away against the Clippers.

Rudy Gay went 3-for-6 from the field for nine points on Monday against the Bulls, he added four rebounds and three assists.

Fantasy Impact: Gay continues to struggle following his three-game absence for an illness. In his four games since returning he is averaging only 4.7 points. Gay is best left for use only in deeper leagues.

Bryn Forbes collected 24 points (8-13 FG, 8-11 3Pt, 0-2 FT), two assists and one rebound in a 120-118 win versus Phoenix.

Fantasy Impact: Forbes absolutely shot the lights out on Monday night in Phoenix. He connected with eight threes which accounted for all 24 of his points. He didn't really provide much else in the way of multi-category success, but the few owners who called Forbes' number were remarkably rewarded on Monday. This is still a large outlier and Forbes is not a name to seek out just yet.

DeMarre Carroll (coach’s decision) did not play in Sunday’s 107-102 win over the Heat.

Fantasy Impact: Carroll (coach’s decision) has sat out five consecutive games. He doesn’t factor into the Spurs rotation and is not part of the team's long-term plans. Carroll will need a change of scenery before he can be counted on in fantasy. The 33-year old should be left on the waiver wire for now. His next chance to play will be Monday’s tilt against the Suns.

Marco Belinelli produced 12 points (2-6 FG, 2-5 3PT, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds and two assists across 21 minutes in Sunday's 107-102 win over the Heat.

Fantasy Impact: Belinelli pulled down a season-high seven rebounds, and scored double figures for the first time in the new year. He doesn’t log enough minutes to be considered anything more than a deep-league flyer. Belinelli is averaging 5.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.9 triples across 37 games this season. The Spurs next scheduled game is Monday, away against the Suns.
