An aggravated right ankle injury will keep Daniel Gafford on the sidelines for Friday's matchup against the Thunder. The center exited Wednesday's victory over Miami early and has been ruled out for the first leg of Dallas' back-to-back set, according to Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com. (Grant Afseth)

Gafford's status for Saturday's contest against the Rockets remains up in the air. His absence further depletes a frontcourt already missing Dereck Lively (foot) indefinitely. With the depth chart thinned out, Dwight Powell and Moussa Cisse are expected to see increased opportunities to support Anthony Davis in the rotation.
